Money/Green 00:54
Fashion kids - they've spoiled the scene Like bacteria it should be cleansed This bunch of clowns has got nothing to do With the scene that I once knew Don't you use your Green on me Commercial takeover, lost independence A total buyout of what once was free The global players, they make money to burn Hardcore became business I sadly had to learn Don't you use your Green on me In it for the fashion (On me) For the fame (On me) For all the girls (On me) For fucking Money/Green
3.
Driven by ignorance An attitude that makes no sense With fucking Metal decadence They mistake Hardcore for violence Male bonding bastards (There's nothing more to say) Hitmen and Skinheads (There's nothing more to say) Camouflaged losers (There's nothing more to say) Spinkicking posers (There's nothing more to say but) Hands off my music Listen, tough guy: Fuck all the bullshit you think Hardcore stands for I don't know what HC is all about But certain facts are clear: It is Anti-Racist It is Anti-Fascist It is Anti-Sexist, you fuckin' asshole It is Anti Fuckin' You So get back on your tree, you fuckin' ape Male bonding bastards (There's nothing more to say) Hitmen and Skinheads (There's nothing more to say) Camouflaged losers (There's nothing more to say) Spinkicking posers (There's nothing more to say)
4.
Set Me Free 00:37
Blind or just to blind to see We are what we choose to be Set me free Dissatisfied we move onward But the journey shall be our reward Grow to be, learn to be Cleanse your mind and you will see Face the enemy in your mirror And set yourself free But unfortunate we march on Don't value what we've already found Set me free
5.
Bastard 00:39
No sense for beauty No sense for harmony No sense for justice No sense for dignity No sense for nothing No sense for anything None so blind as those who will not see A fucking bastard is what you've chosen to be Whose bastard are you? No sense for humour No sense for irony No sense for nothing Whose bastard are you? Bastard!

COLD WORLD - "Hands Off Our Music" EP (Shortfuse)
One of the biggest surprises of the past year was this record, featuring unreleased tracks recorded fifteen years ago (minus the recently added vocal track) by the legendary Austrian fastcore machine. Simply punishing. The double 7" version features noise remixes and, despite how that probably sounds, is a total killer.

COLD WORLD - "Hands Off Our Music" 2xEP (Shortfuse)
Fuck yes. This just made my day: a new record from Austria's legendary COLD WORLD. This one is not to be confused with the American "hardcore" band of the same name. No pseudo hip-hop influences or "sick breakdowns" here, just pure adrenaline, hate, and passion. Fast, heavy, brutal hardcore bordering on grind more than their earlier material did 20 years ago. This is a double 7", and it almost should be reviewed as two seperate records. The first 7" features four killer new songs that make you wonder why these guys ever called it quits in the first place, topped off with an SOB cover. OK, "new" is stretching it a bit, as these were recorded in 1995 with the vocals being finished last year. Absolutely punishing. The second 7" is an odd beast, featuring remixes by FUCKHEAD and the legendary MERZBOW. The FUCKHEAD side is described as "digital grindcore", which sounds about right, while the MERZBOW side is genuinely disturbing and atmospheric while still keeping the source material moving between foreground and background - in other words, it's pretty classic MERZBOW. Highly recommended.

Record of the month: Austrian hardcore band COLD WORLD gets the Shortfuse Records treatment, and it's a fucking blinder. As expected, the love for records is evident in the high-quality packaging when you hold this fucker. There are two versions of this record in circulation: The regular 7" is six songs of high speed, agitated power violent thrash, and the bonus 7" comes with remixes from some Euro techno types and Japanese noise creep MERZBOW. Weird, right? The whole thing is a fucking exceptional record in any case, but this bonus record is a bit of a mind blower. Aces.

COLD WORLD Hands Off Our Music 2x EP
I was so fucking psyched when I heard COLD WORLD had reformed. This new EP is like a continuation of the amazing Pretentious Assholes EP, possibly even faster. Furious riffing and typical amazing stop on a dime drumming. COLD WORLD ends side B with 2 killer S.O.B. covers. The second EP has side C of COLD WORLD vs MERZBOW and side D is COLD WORLD vs FUCKHEAD, just noise to my ears. Now I can't wait for the next COLD WORLD release. Killer!
